These Website Design Darwin terms explain how quotes, payments and ongoing services work. They are written to be easy to read, so please ask if anything is unclear.
Fixed prices agreed before work starts
Every project starts with a written quote that sets out what is included and the price. All prices on this website include GST. A quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
If you ask for extra work that is not in the quote, I will tell you the cost first and only go ahead once you agree.
Deposits and final payment
Website projects usually need a deposit before work begins, with the balance due before the website goes live. The deposit amount is shown on your quote. Invoices are payable within the time shown on the invoice.
Monthly services such as SEO, Google Ads management and maintenance are billed in advance each month.
Your words, photos and logo
You are responsible for supplying the text, photos, logos and other content for your website unless the quote includes content writing. You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you supply.
Delays in supplying content can push back the finish date. If a project stalls for a long time, I may invoice for the work completed so far.
Separate yearly costs
Domain names and website hosting are not included in website prices and are charged separately. Where I register a domain for you, it is registered in your name or your business name.
Hosting and domain renewals must be paid on time to keep your website and email running. I am not responsible for outages caused by third party hosting, domain or email providers.
Month to month with no lock in
Website builds include a free first year of WordPress maintenance. After that, maintenance plans and SEO plans run month to month. You can cancel with 30 days notice at any time.
Google Ads management plans may have a minimum term, which is shown on the Google Ads page and in your quote.
Paid directly to Google
Your Google Ads budget is paid directly to Google from your own account and is separate from my management fee. I do not hold or pass on ad spend. You own the Google Ads account and keep it if you stop using my services.
Honest work, no guarantees
I use proven methods to improve how your website shows in search, but no one controls Google. Rankings, traffic and enquiries cannot be guaranteed and can change when Google updates its systems or competitors change their sites.
Your website once it is paid for
Once your project is paid in full, you own the website design and content created for you. Third party software such as WordPress, themes, plugins, fonts and stock photos stays under its own licence.
I may show your website in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.
The fine print kept short
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Beyond that, my liability for any service is limited to the amount you paid for it.
I may update these terms from time to time. The terms in place when you accept a quote apply to that project. Questions are welcome through the contact page.
